Catholic Advocacy Day in Richmond, VA
Monday, January 26th was Catholic Advocacy Day in Richmond bringing the Catholic Church's concerns about issues of social justice to our elected representatives in Richmond. Father Tuck led a team from St. Anthony of Padua who joined with other parishes from both the Arlington and Richmond Dioceses to spend the day in Richmond meeting with the Governor, state senators, and delegates. The pictures show:
1. Bishop Loverde addressing the group
2. Father Tuck on his way to meet the Legislators
3. Parishioners from St. Anthony of Padua meeting local Delegate Adam Ebbin
For more information about the day and the issues raised, please go to the web site for the Virginia Catholic Conference (http://www.vacatholic.org/). While there, join the advocacy network, receiving email notifications of social justice issues and providing an easy way to have your voice heard.
Pictures and reporting thanks to Scott Engdahl, Pastoral Council Chair.
